Tummy Tuck And Liposuction

Experts in the field of surgery do not recommend tummy tuck and liposuction or the combination of more than one surgery such in the case of abdominoplasty and liposuction. It has been found out that there was a significant number of deaths that involved tummy tuck liposuction. Some doctors would even offer one free surgery if two or more of its services are asked. Not just there is an increase in the cost but most of the combined surgeries often result to complications. In fact, surgeons in the Florida Board of Medicine banned the tummy tuck liposuction as a combined surgery. As a result to such ban, there was a 50% decrease in the number of deaths related to cosmetic surgery.

It must be noted that liposuction is done with very few germs that get into the patient’s body. However, when tummy tuck operation is combined with liposuction, more germs are expected to get in brought by the incisions. These germs often come through the knife or any gadgets used in the procedure. Also, there is a possibility of blood supply disturbance in the body’s tissues that surround the area where the tummy tuck is being done. These are but some of the reasons why tummy tuck liposuction is not that well-recommended by medical experts. Thus, it is always linked to the death cases in the field of plastic surgery.

Despite the many negative effects heard about tummy tuck liposuction, experts rather suggested some alternative ways to tolerate such operations. It was suggested that liposuction be limited in the abdomen. This way, the attending surgeon would know if the tissue tightening occurs near the surface and the reduction of fat below the skin. Thus, it is a must that the patient should see an experienced and reliable surgeon before submitting to a tummy tuck liposuction.
